Ni'mah aw Niqmah...Blessing or a Curse
Over the weekend my family and I went to a lecture on The Cultivation of our Children...MashAllah it was really benificial. One point that really hit home was that children are either a blessing or a curse...That is sooo true...It depends on the upbringing and education of our children....Truly they are the children of today but the Adults of tomorrow. We as parents should really watch what we instill into our children or what we don't instill in them.. My son watches my husband and I like a hawk..Although he's on 3 months I watch what i say and do in front of him..I wan't him to be better than what his father and I are. I don't wan't him to pick up any of our bad traits and shortcomings that we may have...(may Allah forgive us for them Ameen). That reminds me of a situation that happened when my cousin was visiting my mom and I and she was telling her daughter to shake he butt...at 2 years old...SUBHANALLAH..may Allah guide her to islam....Children are reflection of theyr'e parents...so cultivate them to be better than us

Where's my Paci?
Everyone I know asked if i was going to give my baby a pacifer. I really wasn't sure about whether or not to give him one but I soon made up my mind. They really come in handy. Especially when your little one is balling his/her's eyes out and you've exhausted every other method the pacifer seems to always do the trick..well with my son anyways. He loves the paci..Alhamdulillah.. It really helps me out when i need that little piece of me time. Well the other day we lost the paci...I thought I was going to loose my mind. I managed to find the one he recieved from the hospital..but he was'nt feeling it. It sufficed him throughout the night but the next day we were off to get another one. Alhamdulillah for the paci.

Newer Heights
I wanted to start this blog about my baby when he was first born but I figured that eating, sleeping, and going to the bathroom wasn't that interesting nor was it worth posting. Now he is 3 months and a handful. Excuse me make that two handfuls. He recently learned how to make new sounds and he uses this ability very, very well. He takes cooing to a whole 'nother level. MashAllah. At only 3 months he already has his own personality.
